About Us

The company was founded in Rustenburg, North-West Province in 2014, a proudly black-owned company with 100% female shareholders.

Workwear Professionals is a specialised manufacturer of corporate uniforms, industrial clothing and school uniforms (under the label, Scholar). We are committed to producing garments of high quality at affordable prices, and to creating products that are customisable to individual client needs.

Since its founding, it has become a favoured supplier of corporate, school and industrial wear in North-West and Gauteng provinces. Employing approximately 40 seasonal workers, we are dedicated to fine workmanship combined with a strong belief in individual and community empowerment. We also strive to source our materials locally wherever possible.

School Uniforms

We offer jerseys, tracksuits, beanies, girdles, shirts, blazers, socks, sports gear, pullovers, ties, school shoes.

We stock uniforms for four local schools; Grenswag High School, Laerskool David Brink, Thanya Institute of Learning, Forest Hills.

Protective Clothing

Our protective wear includes: overalls, gloves, hardhats, safety footwear, reflective vests, socks. Ear plugs, protective goggles, dust masks, rain suits, etc. We stock overalls, hats and other protective wear for the CWP and EPWP projects. Additionally, we offer in-house taping and embroidery with quick turnaround times.

Corporate Wear

We offer individuals and businesses a wide range of different shirts, pants, hats, and golfers. In addition, we manufacture corporate jerseys and pullovers.

Branding

We add branding to clothing as per client specifications, in the form of silkscreen printing, heat-pressing and embroidery.

Operations

Our garments are manufactured in-house by a staff contingent skilled in sewing and knitting. On our premises, we produce school tracksuits, jerseys, beanies, girdles and scarves. We provide extensive, quality CMT (cut, make, trim) services.

Although we established ourselves as suppliers to wholesalers and retailers, we now also operate our own retail store – which we opened in March 2018 – in which we stock uniforms for four local schools (Grenswag High School, Laerskool David Brink, Thanya Institute of Learning, Forest Hills), as well as retail PPE and corporate wear.

National Reach

Initially, our target market included retailers and end-users in the North-West Province. We then extended our reach to Gauteng, and our ultimate aim is to be a supplier of quality uniforms for schools and businesses across the country.
